Ground work

Once the lot has been bought, it is time to stake out where the property line is and where the house is going to sit. The next step is bringing in fill dirt to even out the lot so that you don't have any low lying areas. Once the area is flat it is time to trench out all the areas where the foundation beams go as well as the rough plumbing. The next step is to spray the foundation with termite insecticide. Then put the plastic over the dirt and finish the rebar work for the foundation. After this is complete the city inspector comes in to inspect before the foundation is poured. It is important to measure all the rooms, hallways, garage, etc., before they pour the slap so you can make adjustments before it is too late.
